Ice Cream + Water = One great Sunday. We spent a little mommy-daughter time with a trip to Swirll.
Like her hair? I did it.

Our Friday night consisted of eating seafood then feeding the fish outside the restaurant.
Rea really enjoyed dropping crackers down to the fishies and watching them fight for the food. In fact, she talked about it all night.
A nice, peaceful way to kick off the weekend. What did you do this weekend?

Genius Baby
Rea put her artistic skills to use this weekend. The impending rain gave us a break from the sky-high temperatures we’ve been seeing in our area, so the two of us threw on some “play clothes,” scurried outside and got busy on the street outside our house.

Cheese!
Rea enjoyed rushing out the door and kept screaming, “Hurry! Rain coming!”

We managed to spend about 30 minutes outside drawing shapes, numbers and alphabets on the ground.

And because the rain began minutes after we finished, there was no clean-up job after it was over. Can’t beat that!

What fun!

Yahoo! Shine came up an awesome list of things to do during spring with the kiddos. I can’t wait to cross off this list with Rea:
1. Blow bubbles. (She just loves them. And heck, so do I!)
2. Plant flowers. (Herbs and other edibles are fun for kids to grow because they can enjoy their bounty!)
3. Make homemade lemonade. Let the kids host a lemonade stand! (Rea loves helping out, so this should be fun.)
4. Have a picnic at the beach.
5. Climb trees. (Trees? I dunno. Jungle gym? Maybe.)
6. Grab a blanket and some books and hit the local park for outdoor story time. (Can’t beat that!)
7. Go for a hike. (OUCH! Must wait til it cools down in Houston.)
8. Have an outdoor movie night. (I saw that a Facebook friend did this with her girls and it looked like a blast!)
9. S’more party, anyone? (Yum! Sounds like a mess, though.)
10. Take an evening stroll and listen to the birds as they end their day. (OK, obviously the person who wrote this list doesn’t live down South. Mosquitos, anyone?)
Anyway, can’t wait to get started. I’ll be sharing each of these things as we do them. Anything on the list you’d like to do?

You can’t beat free fun. Yesterday was all about free fun at our local Chick fil A. It was circus day complete with games, face painting, clowns and balloons. Check out some of the pics we snapped:

I had to force her to eat one nugget. Sometimes she loves to eat. Other times…

Face painting

She wiped her face just before I hit snap.

Cutting up all over the store

Time for a balloon. She was the very last one in line.

Work in progress

All done!

My little butterfly

Bonus! A flower bracelet. This balloon lady is serious. Her name is Shelly. I should have gotten a card.

Silly baby

What fun!
